Humayun Tomb 

The first garden tomb of mughal era in India, represent the fusion of Mughal and Persian architecture. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun’s wife Bega Begun. Contraction of Humayun Tomb started in 1565 and ended in 1572.

Qutub Minar

The most notable structure in Qutub complez is Qutub minar, made up of red-sandstone and marble. This is the second tallest minar in India, with a height of 73 meters and having 379 steps. Qutb Ud-Din-Aibak, started construction of the Qutub Minar's first storey around 1192. In 1220, Aibak's successor and son-in-law Iltutmish completed a further three storeys. The Minar is surrounded by several historically significant monuments including Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, which was built at the same time as the Minar, and the Iron Pillar of Delhi.

Purana Quila (Old Fort)

One of the oldest fort of Delhi dating back to 5000 years. The fort is well maintained by the Indian Government and is adorned with beautiful forts, gardens and a museum. It is said that the fort was rebuilt by Sher Shah Suri and was completed by his Islam Shah.

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid - Delhi (India)
Jama Masjid was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, and was inaugurated by an imam from Bukhara. The mosque was completed in 1656 AD with three great gates, four towers and two 40 m high minarets constructed of strips of red sandstone and white marble. The courtyard can accommodate more than 25,000 persons. There are three domes on the terrace which are flanked by the two minarets.

Haridwar – City of religion and spirituality
